Hand-thrown stoneware butter bell in two pieces which slot together.  Each piece has a unique hue, due to the precious elements deposited from the glaze. Each vessel has been wheel thrown, trimmed, hand finished, fired in a kiln, glazed, and fired for a second time. Due to the nature of all handmade ceramics, each piece is distinctively its own, and there will be slight variations in shape and finish and there may be slight imperfections.

Hand made using artisanal techniques, the surface feels beautiful to hold and looks stunning in any kitchen.

***While these pieces were given the same care and attention as any other, there have been small incongruencies in the final finish of the pieces, as outlined in the photographs - please examine closely for a visual representation of what to expect

Moss Green - the base is mildly elliptical meaning there is a very small gap on either side between the lid and the base

Succulent Green  - there is a superficial line crack on the surface of the lid (insert)

White Linen - the base is very slightly elliptical meaning there is a very small gap on either side between the lid and the base. Almost a first

Light Apple Green - there are a series of very small lines as well as a “halo” of very mild glaze colour change on the top of the lid (insert), as shown.

Blue Blossom - there is a superficial step-crack on the top of the lid, as shown

Snow Blast # 1 - there is a short superficial line in the floor of the base. Please see photos. It also has a beautiful flash of caramel colour on the internal insert, which is consistent with the surprising variation you can see in firing objects in small batches. It functions perfectly as a butterbell. Neither of these inconsistencies can be seen when the butterbell is joined together.

Snow Blast #2 - there are two very small, smooth bumps on the lid of the insert. Please see photos. It functions perfectly as a butter bell. Very nearly a first

These items are therefore marked as seconds.  They are completely unique and the only one of their kind.  They function perfectly as a butter bell.  No refunds***
