A single stoneware travel coffee cup. Each vessel has been wheel thrown, trimmed, hand finished, fired in a kiln, glazed, and fired for a second time. Due to the nature of all handmade ceramics, each piece is distinctively its own, and there will be slight variations in shape and finish and there may be slight imperfections.
Each cup has a unique, highly-textured exterior surface, created by the granular-particles within the clay becoming more pronounced as it is fired to almost 1300 degrees. The internal, as well as the upper half of the external surface are glazed in a beautiful glossy glaze, which creates a distinctive mottled appearance as it melts over the textured clay.
These pieces are entirely hand made using artisanal techniques, and the surface feels earthy to hold as you sip your daily brew.
