Hand-built stoneware bowl with clear gloss glaze. The clay used has been hand-dyed, and then layered with other variations of clay to create a marbled, striated, or ad-hoc pattern. This vessel has been formed by hand, carved and/or sanded, fired in a kiln, glazed, and fired for a second time. Due to the nature of all handmade ceramics, each piece is distinctively its own, and there will be slight variations in shape and finish and there may be slight imperfections.
Hand made using artisanal techniques, this earthy stoneware clay as well as the silky glazed surface feels beautiful to hold, and a stunning vessel to hold precious items, or small snacks.
