Hand-thrown stoneware stepped bowl. This piece has a one off hue, due to the precious elements and compounds deposited from the glaze- the exterior being glossy-smooth, and the interior a maze of glorious speckles and variation.
This unique vessel has been wheel thrown, trimmed, hand finished, fired in a kiln, glazed, and fired for a second time. Due to the nature of all handmade ceramics, each piece is distinctively its own, and there will be slight variations in shape and finish and there may be slight imperfections. This piece has an overlapping of two different glazes across the interior of the vessel, highlighting the dynamic interaction of these glazes, and creating a rare effect.
Hand made using artisanal techniques, this stoneware clay as well as the glossy glazed surface is both artwork on its own, or stunning vessel to serve your favourite dish.
