A pair of hand-thrown stoneware serving plates. These unique vessels have been wheel thrown, trimmed, hand decorated and finished, fired in a kiln, glazed, and fired for a second time. Due to the nature of all handmade ceramics, each piece is distinctively its own, and there will be slight variations in shape and finish and there may be slight imperfections.
These pieces each have a one off hue, due to the precious elements and compounds deposited from the glazes. The glazes are mildly different, yet complimentary, with the surface undulations on the vessels creating a rare effect. Hand made using artisanal techniques, this stoneware clay as well as the glossy glazed surface is the perfect vessel upon which to serve your favourite dish.
Signed by the artist on the base. One base is etched. One is drawn in ceramic-safe pencil.
Handmade in Boon Wurrung Country. Fired in Wurundjeri Country.
